A CONSIDERED PRACTICE

From the First Design Idea
to the Finest Construction Detail.

Twenty-five years. With professional exposure in more than Forty Indian cities.

The drawing on paper is not a building — between the two lie the Approval Authority, a dozen departments and the patience to see them through.

Rakesh Dudwadkar has worked at both ends of that distance — an 18,000 sq ft house in Delhi appointed to detail for constructing the very rare Art Nouveau style Bungalow, More than Fifty Retail stores across multiple cities in a single month, to obtaining the Completion Certificate from the BMC office for a Commercial building waiting years for the final node.

FAMILY HOMES · LONAVLA

Row houses and
bungalow schemes.

Silver Oak — four two-storey row houses composed as a single terrace, a colonnade of semicircular arches forming one continuous shaded loggia, with cantilevered balconies and wrought-iron railings above. Alongside it, a scheme of sixteen hill-station bungalows set against the Sahyadri escarpment, each of 5,500 sq ft, their steep gables carrying scalloped bargeboards over a clay-tiled verandah.

A ROLLOUT, IN DETAIL

Thomas Pink.
Six stores, three cities.

Jermyn Street’s shirtmaker brought into India — Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Kolkata, including the airport store. Fixtures were first imported from London, then developed with Indian makers to the same standard at lower cost.
